Our mission is to promote the use of local, sustainable materials through a collaborative platform. The website makes sourcing sustainable materials easier through our growing library and local suppliers can be found on our map.
Initially, the website has been tailored to assist Architecture Students in Sheffield. As the platform grows, we hope students across the UK, along with homeowners, builders and Architects, can benefit from it.
Click a point on the map and adjust the search radius to find materials closest to your site.
Click on materials to find out more about their specifications and credentials.
Request to add new materials or suppliers (all new requests require approval from our team).
We are a group of Master of Architecture (MArch) students in the ‘Collaborative Production’ studio representing the University of Sheffield. Our studio is dedicated to exploring the potential of a circular economy, emphasising the concepts of a resilient community and local value. We aim to advocate for local production and exchange within the community, with a vision to redefine how individuals connect with their local governance.
To elevate our collaborative ethos and studio to the next level, we have designed a collective platform with Ben Jilks, our website developer, to foster a closer connection between local communities and their materials.
